Mike Lloyd

A former engineer and teacher, Mike has worked with governments and agencies across the world advising on how to modernise their schooling systems through exploiting technology. He has also assisted technology and services companies across the world to develop solutions that meet the needs of modernised schooling systems. He recently wrote Schooling at the Speed of Thought based on 22 years’ experience in schooling and education technology. Previous publications include “National Grid for Learning, a School Plan” and “Fresh Approaches to Funding ICT”, published by Pearson Publishing. Dr Paul Kelley

Paul Kelley is probably the UK’s best-known education innovator. He has worked with BBC, European Union, OECD, Microsoft, and governments to create education solutions. His achievements include a Modern Languages solution used by a million students; opening degree study through The Open University to all UK 16-18 year-old students; the first ‘Trust’ school in hte UK; developing a highly innovative school building; working with neuroscientists Russell Foster (Oxford) and Douglas Fields (NIH); and writing Making Minds. Lina Dzene

Līna Dzene worked for six years as education lead for Microsoft in the Baltic States, and was responsible for the public sector in Latvia, obtaining unique experience about the educational sector, public sector systems and national competitiveness of the Baltic region.  She has experience with major developmental projects related to education and culture, and has built all-encompassing strategies.  Lina is the founder of the Dynamic University – a consulting firm which provides strategic guidance and professional expertise to help education institutions of all kinds achieve greater excellence, navigate change, and drive more powerful partnerships across Central and Eastern Europe. Javier Paramo

 Javier is co-founder at PointGrow, Inc. (www.pointgrow) a company dedicated to helping IT companies grow. Having built the Microsoft Education business for the Latin America Region, and held a senior position in the Education Products team at Microsoft, Javier brings a wealth of senior level experience to Edutech Associates. He has over 25 years of international experience in Business Development, Strategy, Sales, Partners and Marketing planning, development and execution. Sven Reinhardt

 Sven has more than 15 years of professional IT experience including 10 years as a technical consultant for Microsoft. Before Microsoft, Sven researched at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in areas such as quality of service in computer networks and large distributed database systems. He also managed a pan-European IT helpdesk with more than 1,200 universities. Based in Germany, Sven has worked with various public sector institutions and companies on the modeling and planning of IT architectures for schooling systems. Sven holds a MSc in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, with specializations in database design, and innovation management. Katie Ledger

Katie helps individuals, teams and organisations “to be heard”. After 12 years working as a television news journalist for the BBC, ITN and Channel 5 in the UK, Katie has created a portfolio career as an author, communications consultant, conference facilitator and speaker. Nick Fekos

Nick is an expert in Artificial Intelligence, and holds an MSc in AI from the University of London, Queen Mary College; and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich, London.  Nick has more than twenty years of experience in IT, ranging from development (Asp.net/SQL Prolog/Lisp) to IT Management. He worked for 10 years in the IT banking sector, and for the last 12 years he has been the IT Manager at Athens College, a leading private K12 school. Nina Bilimoria Angelo

Nina Bilimoria Angelo is a seasoned professional in strategy creation and execution for tech companies. Manou Marzban

Fifteen years of education and academic audience experience including nine with Microsoft in global roles, and six as co-founder of BiblioTech Ltd, one of Europe’s first internet companies. Manou is a Solutions marketing expert in education segment focusing on infrastructure optimization, e-Learning and institution analytics. Alan Richards

Alan has been working in the education sector for over 17 years and during that time has been at the forefront of using IT. He has led teams that have been among the first to roll out Windows 7, Exchange 2010 and SharePoint 2010 in schooling systems, and many of these successes have been showcased as Microsoft case studies.
